About the job

Scaleway is the leading European multi-cloud services provider. In order to drive our international growth and expand our client base, we are looking for an ambitious and dynamic Head of Business Development. You will focus specifically on startups and scaleups in the European cloud services sector.

You will be a key representative at the forefront of the company, and must be dedicated to creating, applying, and implementing an effective sales strategy.
Your goal is to drive sustainable financial growth by boosting sales and building strong relationships with clients.

You will work in the Sales department, and report directly to the VP Sales. The Department includes Customer Success Managers, Sales Development Representatives (SDR), Business Development Representatives (BDR), Alliance & Partners and Solution Architects, and you will manage BDR & SDR teams (more than 20 people).

Profil recherché

  • Experience in international development
  • Knowledge of international trade
  • Mastery of sales techniques (process, tools and business methods)
  • Excellent knowledge of the European Tech market
  • Excellent communication and proven negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of the startup market
  • Proven international sales track record
  • Fluent English speaker - you will manage an international team

  • Knowledge of financial and budget management
  • Ability to handle challenging situations
  • Demonstrated team structuring skills
  • Passionate about technology and innovation
  • Some degree of understanding or level of speaking in French
  • Ability to inspire confidence
  • Good interpersonal and negotiation skills

  • International Development specifically European Development
  • Identify prospective customers 
  • Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers
  • Reporting to and close cooperation with Management
  • Demonstrated experience in international business development, as an international sales executive or any relevant role  
  • Time management and planning skills
  • Management and structuring of the Business Development team
